<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which is able to stably supply power to an external apparatus connected to a functional section used in a selected mode. <P>SOLUTION: A control section 71 does not supply power to an external apparatus whose identification information is not stored in a storage section 72 (S13: NO→S14), and supplies power from a power source unit 73 to the only external apparatus whose information is stored (S13: YES→S15). The control section 71 calculates the amount of total power by adding the amount of consumption power of an internal device used in a mode that accepts a selection and the amount of power consumption of the external apparatus for the power supply (S16). Since the amount of total power is greater than the amount of maximum power supply (S17: NO), the control section 71 accepts the selection of any of mode from among modes in which the amount of total power does not exceed the amount of maximum power supply (S19: YES), and shuts off a power source output system unnecessary for the mode that accepts the selection (S21). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
