Disclosed are a benzofluorene-based compound and an organic light emitting diode including the same. According to an aspect, provided is a benzofluorene-based compound represented by following chemical formula 1. According to the other aspect, provided is an organic light emitting diode including a substrate; a first electrode; a second electrode facing the first electrode; and a light emitting layer interposed between the first electrode and the second electrode, wherein the light emitting layer comprises one or more kind of the benzonfluorene-based compound. The organic light emitting diode including the benzofluorene-based compound has low driving voltage, high efficiency, high brightness, and long lifetime.
