A method for controlling a mobile terminal for providing a carbon point comprises the steps of: receiving information on a departure point and a destination of a pedestrian traveling path from a user; displaying path information generated corresponding to the information on the departure point and the destination on a map through a display unit; tracking the pedestrian traveling path according to the movement of the user and storing the tracking information; transmitting the tracking information to a carbon point management system and receiving a carbon point calculation result corresponding to the tracking information; and outputting received information on the carbon point on the display unit.
