The valve (4) has a housing (5) including a valve piston (6) movably guided against a compression spring (19) between a normal position and an overcharge position. The piston separates a load channel (8) and a control chamber (7) from an overflow channel (12) in the normal position. The piston has a manifold (25) that connects the load channel with the chamber in the normal position. The piston and the chamber form a hydraulic resistor-capacitor circuit. The circuit is dimensioned in such a manner that the piston is released based on a load when a preset rate of pressure rise is exceeded.
