A method for converting a multi-thread program code is disclosed. According to an aspect, the method for converting a multi-thread program code comprises the steps of: dividing a multi-thread program code into at least two statements by a synchronization point; generating at least one loop group by combining at least one adjacent statement based on the number of instructions inside the divided statements; extending or changing the name of a variable inside each statement to execute work items of work groups in series which are different from each statement included in a loop group with respect to each loop group; and enclosing each loop group with a work item integrating loop.
