Preparing a flame-retardant polyurethane foam having a density of 5-50 g/l, comprises reacting an organic polyisocyanate with a reaction mixture obtained by mixing polymeric compounds having at least two hydrogen atoms reactive towards isocyanate, optionally chain extenders and/or crosslinking agent, flame retardants, blowing agents, a catalyst and optionally auxiliaries and additives, where the flame retardant includes expanded graphite and oligomeric organo phosphorus flame retardants. An independent claim is also included for the flame retardant polyurethane foam obtainable by the above mentioned method. |
