<p>The present invention relates to a friction stir welding apparatus and a friction stir welding method, capable of uniformly bonding a welding part by measuring the surficial temperature of the welding part and comparing the surficial temperature with a reference value to control the rotational speed of a tool when performing a friction stir welding process. The present invention provides a friction stir welding apparatus including a friction stir welding tool inserted into a target welding material and rotated so that bonding is achieved by friction and stirring. The friction stir welding apparatus includes: a temperature measuring unit provided on the target welding material to measure the temperature of a specific point during the friction stir welding process; a calculator to receive the temperature value measured from the temperature measuring unit to calculate a differential value between the preset reference value with the temperature value; and a control unit to receive the differential value from the calculator to control the rotational speed of the tool depending on the differential value.</p> |
