<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce local errors occurring in the vicinity of a shortest data length with respect to a reproduced waveform frequently occurring in the vicinity of the shortest data length, thereby reproducing information with high accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: An information reproduction device which processes the reproduced waveform has an adaptive filter (4), a PRML circuit (5), a PR decoder (7) which generates a target waveform for the adaptive filter based on binary data subjected to maximum likelihood estimation by a Viterbi decoding circuit (6), and an adjusters (12, 14) which adjusts an error signal which is a difference between the target waveform and the reproduced waveform so that a difference in error signal caused by a difference in data length is larger in the vicinity of the shortest data length (2T, 3T). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
