PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery capable of improving energy density thereof. SOLUTION: A secondary battery includes: a laminate 14 in which positive electrode sheets 21 and negative electrode sheets 22 are alternately laminated via separators 23; and a positive electrode collector 41 connected to the positive electrode sheets 21. The positive electrode collector 41 has a positive electrode side facing surface 41a facing one side surface 14a of the laminate 14, and the positive electrode side facing surface 41a extends over the entire width in the lamination direction on the one side surface 14a of the laminate 14. Positive electrode side ridges 61 are provided on the positive electrode side facing surface 41a. Positive electrode side recessed parts 62 are formed at a site facing the positive electrode side ridge 61 in the negative electrode sheet 22.
