<p>The invention relates to a downpipe anti-climb device 1, the device comprises a first length 3 of downpipe having an end 11 that is adapted to releasably connect to a drainpipe system and a compressible portion 2. The compressible portion is separated from the end by the first length of downpipe 3. The device is such that when it is in use and configured with the compressible portion located beneath the end, when a person applies weight to the first length of downpipe, the compressible portion is compressed and the end releases from the drainpipe system. The compressible portion is preferably a concertina coupling comprising an internal spring (9 figure 2) and a covering (10 figure 3). The coupling may be a push fit connector.</p> |
