An artificial feather for use in a shuttlecock is provided with a thin-film feather part that corresponds to the vane of a feather and imitates a natural feather, and a rod-shaped feather shaft part that corresponds to the shaft of a feather and extends in an integrally connected manner from the upper tip to the bottom end thereof. The feather shaft part is obtained by mutually adhering a core part comprising a material that is relatively low in density and soft, and an outer shell part comprising a material that is denser and more rigid compared to the core part. In a cross-section view, the outer shell part covers the sides of the core part, and extends from the tip to the end of the feather shaft part. |
