<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method which can recover high-purity cobalt from liquid which is obtained by eluting a binder phase metal of a cemented alloy scrap. <P>SOLUTION: The treatment method of the cemented alloy scrap is characterized by comprising: a process for immersing the cemented alloy scrap into an aqueous hydrochloric acid of ferric chloride to elute the binder phase metal (immersing process); a process for selectively separating iron from an eluting solution containing the eluted binder phase metal (Fe separation process); and a process for adding sulfide and metal cobalt powders to the eluting solution, sulfurating and depositing nickel in the eluting solution, and filtering and separating a nickel sulfide deposit (de-Ni process).
