<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition which can improve fuel efficiency, wet grip performance, abrasion resistance, steering stability and processability in good balance, and to provide a pneumatic tire using the composition. <P>SOLUTION: This rubber composition includes a rubber component, silica and a specific amide compound. In 100 mass% of the rubber component, the content of a conjugated diene-based polymer which has a structural unit based on conjugated diene and a structural unit represented by formula (I) and at least an end of which is modified by a compound expressed by formula (II), is 5 pts.mass or more. The content of silica is 5-150 pts.mass in 100 pts.mass of the rubber composition. In formula (I), X<SP POS="POST">1</SP>, X<SP POS="POST">2</SP>and X<SP POS="POST">3</SP>each independently represents a group represented by formula (Ia), a hydroxy group, a hydrocarbyl group or a substituted hydrocarbyl group, wherein at least one of X<SP POS="POST">1</SP>, X<SP POS="POST">2</SP>and X<SP POS="POST">3</SP>is a group represented by formula (Ia) or a hydroxy group. In formula (II), n denotes an integer of 1-10; R<SP POS="POST">3</SP>, R<SP POS="POST">4</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">5</SP>each independently represent a 1-4C hydrocarbyl group or 1-4C hydrocarbyloxy group; at least one of R<SP POS="POST">3</SP>, R<SP POS="POST">4</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">5</SP>is a hydrocarbyloxy group; and A represents a functional group having a nitrogen atom. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
