<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maximize the storage number of safe-deposit boxes. <P>SOLUTION: An automatic safe-deposit box device comprises: a storage shelf 12, which is comparted in its extending direction by a plurality of partitions 14 to have a plurality of storage parts 13 that can store safe-deposit boxes 90; a booth table provided behind the storage shelf 12; an intermediate conveyance mechanism part 60, which can carry one of the safe-deposit boxes 90 in the front-back direction across the storage shelf 12 between the position in front of the storage shelf 12 and the booth table; a transfer unit, which can transfer the safe-deposit box 90 between itself and each of the storage parts 13, and the intermediate conveyance mechanism part 60; and a shelf-side conveyance mechanism part, which shifts the transfer unit between a point of taking the safe-deposit box 90 in/out each storage part 13 and the point of shifting the safe-deposit box 90 to/from the intermediate conveyance mechanism part 60.
