Label paper processing method and apparatus

A label paper processing method is disclosed which can reduce operations of control and adjustments of a depth of cutting and which can precisely cut a label sheet alone without cutting a supporting sheet. In the processing method, label paper 2 is printed thereon with a print image 22 and with a cutting locus 23, using a printer 4 in which the label paper is fed to travel intermittently. Then, the printed label paper 2 while it is being fed to travel continuously is half-cut with a laser beam irradiated along the printed cutting locus 23, thereby forming a half-cutout in the label paper 2. The method thereby allows reducing operations of control and adjustments of a cutting depth and precisely cutting the label sheet alone without cutting the supporting sheet.
