The method for selecting an item of a portable terminal comprises the steps of: arranging at least one item according to a certain rule; receiving an input for setting a starting item to set a first item as a starting item; receiving an input for setting an ending item to set a second item as an ending item; and setting items included between the first item and the second item as selected items.
