<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of efficiently and stably manufacturing hydrogen by reacting in a mild condition without excessive heating from outside a reactor as a method obtaining hydrogen by decomposing ammonia. <P>SOLUTION: In this method of manufacturing hydrogen, a gas containing ammonia and oxygen is contacted with an ammonia combustion catalyst, which is placed on the inlet side of the gas flow, and the ammonia is combusted in the presence of oxygen to generate combustion heat consuming substantially all the oxygen, then the gas whose temperature is raised by the combustion heat is contacted with an ammonia decomposition catalyst, which is placed on the outlet side of the gas flow, and hydrogen is obtained by decomposing the ammonia. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
