[Class 18] Apparatus for applying a flanged closure to the body part of a paper &c. bottle &c. comprises in combination a rigid-walled plunger device adapted to insert the closure within the open end of the bottle &c., and by contact of its rigid side walls with the flange of the cap to force it into contact with the adjacent body portion, and means, e.g. a plate, carried by the plunger device which remains in contact with the cap when the remainder of the plunger is withdrawn from the body and thereby prevents removal of the cap with the plunger. The apparatus is identical with that described in Specification 443,108. |
