A method, in a time synchronized packet switched communication network, for transporting packets comprising the following steps:
- providing each output port (OP) with an output port scheduler (OPS),
- building for each output port scheduler (OPS), a transmission schedule table (TS) comprising at least one association between a size of packet (Si) and a set of transmission instants (SIi),
- delivering to each output port scheduler (OPS) its transmission schedule table (TS),
- having said output port scheduler (OPS) transmitting a packet of a given size of packet (Si) at a transmission instant of a set of transmission instants (SIi) associated to said given size of packet (Si) according to its transmission schedule table (TS). |
