The present invention relates to a method for calculating a type-2 diabetes occurrence prediction score regarding GEM women. To provide a diabetes occurrence prediction information for GDM women after a childbirth, the method is used to determine the risk allele genotype of one or more specific single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) markers and calculate a weighted genetic risk score (wGRS) based on the determination. The method according to the present invention can make a prediction more accurate than the prediction made by basing on conventional clinical information and maximize the utility when used with such clinical information.
