A data offloading method and a data offloading apparatus are disclosed. The data offloading method can calculate processing time and energy consumption amount of a client device according to data offloading for each operation step by using a required calculation amount of each operation step, can calculate the processing time of the server according to the data offloading for each operation step by using the required calculation amount of each operation step, and can determine an offloading optimal position satisfying a quality of experience of a user by using the calculated processing time and the calculated energy consumption amount of the client device according to the offloading for each operation step, and the processing time of the server.
