The present invention relates to a superconductor and a manufacturing method thereof. The superconductor includes a substrate having a tape shape, and including surfaces defined as an upper surface, a lower surface, and both side surfaces along a longitudinal direction, a superconducting layer disposed on the upper surface of the substrate, a first stabilizing layer disposed on an upper surface of the superconducting layer, and made of a metal material, and a protecting layer disposed on an upper surface of the first stabilizing layer, and made of a metal material. The superconductor further includes an alloy layer consisting of an alloy of the metal included in the first stabilizing layer and the metal included in the protecting layer, the alloy layer disposed between the first stabilizing layer and the protecting layer. The superconductor can improve adhesion of the protecting layer even against a microscopically rough surface, can facilitate a process of forming a different material layer on an upper part of the protecting layer by greatly improving the flatness of the surface of the protecting layer, and can improve adhesion of the different material layer against the protecting layer. |
