FIELD: measurement equipment.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering, and namely to methods for determining volume of tanks with gas. A method for determining volume of a large-sized tank by measurement of gas parameters of the tank before and after supply to it of known weight amount of gas and calculation of volume of the tank by the corresponding formula. With that, according to the invention, before gas is supplied to a tank, it is cooled to the temperature excluding thermal stratification during repeated measurement of gas parameters.EFFECT: improving accuracy of determination of volume of a large-sized tank. |
