<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for calculating the degree of traffic congestion on a road using a Wi-Fi ad-hoc network and an apparatus and a method for sharing vehicle information. The Wi-Fi ad-hoc network is a horizontal network in which each access point plays the roles of a server, a client, and a router. It is possible to share information without big scale central server equipment using the network. The degree of traffic congestion around a vehicle can be obtained using establishment of a Wi-Fi network connection and a Wi-Fi location estimation technique, and the degree of traffic congestion can be shared with another vehicle. In addition, it is possible to share information between vehicles on the Wi-Fi ad-hoc network. Moreover, it is possible to share information on a vehicle with an access point beyond the coverage of a single access point at low costs, which is an advantage of an ad-hoc network.</p> |
