METAL TUBE FOR VEHICLE PIPES AND METHOD OF ITS SURFACE PROCESSING

FIELD: transport.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry. Said metal coated tube is formed by application of the main metal tube representing a single- or two-wall steel tube. The latter is produced by rolling copper-plate steel sheet into pipe, application of alloy coating by dipping into melt containing 3 wt % of Al, 1-15 wt % of Mg, Zn and unavoidable impurities making the rest. At forming the metal tube with coating, the main tube surface is straightened. Roundness is corrected and smoothed, heated and main metal tube is reduced for removal of oxide film formed thereon by heating the metal tube. Then, tube is placed in continuous furnace filled with mixed inert gas containing hydrogen and inert gas. Coating is applied on the main metal tube by forcing it vertically through bed with alloy melt.EFFECT: high antirust properties.9 cl, 5 dwg
