A method of early recognition of gastroparesis od patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) by means of determination of motor-evacuation function of stomach, and after analysis of questionnaires a group of patients with labile behavior of underlying disease without other pathological conditions that cause disturbances of functional activity of gastrointestinal tract take four hourC-octane breath test (C-OBT), after diagnostic breakfast, assessment of thirteen respiratory samples is carried out by means of infrared spectroscopic system (IRIS) and it is determined a time of partial ejection of (T ½) of solid food from the stomach into the duodenum with a total concentration ofCOin expired air, moreover normal functional state of the stomach is considered if changing of the T ½ varies between 40 - 75 minutes and if this value is less than 40 minutes then it should be considered accelerated the motor-evacuation function of the stomach, which is typical for hyperglycemia symptoms of patients with firstly diagnosed diabetes, moreover stage of DG diagnosis is determined according to a degree of deceleration of motor-evacuation function of the stomach: light degree - T ½ 75-95 minutes, 95 - 115 minutes – deceleration of middle degree, more than 115 minutes – deceleration of severe degree, which is confirmed by evaluation of the results of questionnaires. |
