The video processing apparatus comprises: a central video processing unit which communicates with a host and parses parameter information or slice header information from video data inputted from the host; and a plurality of video processing units for processing the video according the parsed information by being controlled by the central video processing unit. The central video processing unit uses the slice header information obtained in picture units to determine the starting position of a video bit stream to be assigned to each of the video processing units.</p>
