FIELD: physics.SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in non-destructive inspection of the human body. A scanning device for imaging with a back-scattered radiation beam comprises a radiation source, a fixed shield plate and a rotating shield body placed between the radiation source and a object to be scanned, respectively, wherein the fixed shield plate is stationary with respect to the radiation source and the rotating shield body can rotate relative to the fixed shield plate. The fixed shield plate has a beam transmission region which allows a radiation beam from the radiation source to pass through the fixed shield plate, a beam incidence region and a beam emergence region on the rotating shield body, respectively. During rotation of the rotating shield body, the beam transmission region of the fixed shield plate continuously intersects with the beam incidence region and the beam emergence region of the rotating shield body to generate collimated holes for scanning. The beam transmission region of the fixed shield plate is a rectilinear slit, the rotating shield body is a cylinder, and the beam incidence and emergence regions are configured as a series of small discrete holes situated along a spiral line, respectively. In addition, the invention discloses a scanning method for imaging with a back-scattered radiation beam.EFFECT: generating a uniform scanning beam when imaging an object using a back-scattered radiation beam.12 cl, 5 dwg |
