Provided are a method and an apparatus for channel coding of data. The size of a transmission block for the data is determined among a plurality of transmission block sizes. Each size of the transmission blocks is predetermined to allow each CRC-adhesion code block to be the same as any one of the block sizes of an inner interleaver of a turbo encoder to be generated by adhering a CRC code to one or more code blocks, in which the transmission block is mapped, respectively. According to the present invention, it is possible to prevent dummy bits from being inserted in a channel coding process.
