The present invention relates to a quantum rod and a method of fabricating the same. More particularly, the present invention relates to a quantum rod to emit visible ray of a single wave length and a method of fabricating the same. A quantum rod according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a core which includes a zinc compound; and a shell which surrounds the core and is made of ZnS. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the zinc compound is selected as one of ZnSe or ZnSeS. Also, the core has a single structure or multiple structure of ZnSe or ZnSeS. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the rate of the length of the shell to the size of the core is 2~10.
