SHUTOFF VALVE FOR LEAK DETECTING AND HANDLING SYSTEM OF CARBON DIOXIDE

The present invention relates to a shutoff valve for a carbon dioxide leakage detecting and processing system, which is disposed in a transfer line having a tube shape and through which carbon dioxide moves from a carbon dioxide generation facility to a carbon dioxide storage. The shutoff valve blocks the transfer line by a detector for detecting leakage of the carbon dioxide to prevent supply of the carbon dioxide and guide the carbon dioxide remaining in the transfer line to a bypass line. The shutoff valve includes: a valve body openably disposed on a connection portion between the transfer line and the bypass line to alternately open and close the transfer line and the bypass line; a holder for locking a portion of the valve body in a state where the portion of the valve body is held by the transfer line and the bypass line so that the bypass line is blocked in a state where the transfer line is opened, the holder unlocking the valve body according to application of a control signal of the detector; and a communication part for communicating with the detector to apply a detection signal of the detector to the holder. According to the present invention, since the valve body is unlocked by the holder according to the detection signal of the detector to block the transfer line and open the bypass line, the supply of the carbon dioxide may be quickly blocked, and at the same time, the carbon dioxide remaining in the transfer line may be guided to the bypass line to minimize a leaked amount of the carbon dioxide.
