<p>According to an embodiment of the present invention, a display device for a low-speed driving comprises a display panel, a source driver, a gate driver, and a timing controller. In the display panel, a plurality of gate lines and a plurality of data lines are intersected with one another, and pixels are formed on intersections. The source driver supplies data voltages to the data lines. The gate driver supplies gate pulses to the gate lines. The timing controller time-divides one frame into n sub-frames (n is a positive integer equal to or greater than four), groups the gate lines into n gate groups, distributes and scans the n gate groups to the n sub-frames by controlling the operation of the gate driver, and controls the scan order of the gate groups in a zigzag manner, while one gate time taken to scan one gate line is increased to n horizontal periods. The gate pulse for scanning the gate groups swings between a gate high voltage and a gate low voltage. The gate pulse is kept at the gate high voltage during a first one horizontal period in the one gate time and is lowered from the gate high voltage toward the gate low voltage according to a preset GPM slope within the remaining (n-1) horizontal period, except for the first one horizontal period, in the one gate time. The n horizontal period indicates a value obtained by multiplying the value of n by the one horizontal period defined by dividing one frame period by the number of the gate lines.</p> |
