Disclosed are a metal separator for an air-cooled fuel cell stack including an open air channel that can have cooling performance and stack performance improved without mounting a separate cooling plate by designing a protrusion pattern including an air channel opened toward a short side; and an air-cooled fuel cell stack including the same. The metal separator for an air-cooled fuel cell stack according to the present invention comprises: a main body of the metal separator having a channel part protruding at intervals and partially cut open to form a matrix arrangement from a lower surface toward an upper surface and having a protrusion pattern including an air channel opened toward a short side, and a manifold part including a reaction gas inlet and a reaction gas outlet arranged respectively at both edges of the channel part; and a gasket having a first gasket formed along the edge part of the manifold part on the upper surface of the main body of the metal separator, and a second gasket arranged at the edge of the channel part to be formed in an island structure of being arranged alternately with the protrusion pattern.
