<p>The present invention relates to a method for preparing bendamustine alkyl ester, bendamustine, and derivatives thereof. The method according to the present invention can prepare the compounds of reproducibly high yield. To this end, hydroxyl group-containing ester is used as a starting material in which a hydroxyl group is substituted to a halogen group in a simple way. The substitution is possible under the presence of (i) oxalyl chloride, and (ii) dialkyl formamide, dialkyl acetamide, or dimethyl sulfoxide. In the subsequent reaction, acid can be formed by hydrolyzing the generated ester.</p> |
