PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of synthesizing (Z,Z)-11,13-hexadecadiene-1-al which is a pheromone of a navel orangeworm.SOLUTION: There is provided a method of synthesizing the pheromone synthesized by reacting 10-chlorodecan-1-ol with 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpyperidinyloxy in a presence of sodium bromide, sodium acetate and sodium hypochlorite in water and ethyl acetate to obtain 10-chlorodecanal, then protecting an aldehyde part to obtain 10-chloro-1,1-diethoxydecan, reacting 1,3-hexadiene with the 10-chloro-1,1-diethoxydecan in a presence of sodium amide and diethylether to form 16,16-diethoxyhexadeca-3,5-diyne, then reacting with a reagent selected from a complex of cyclohexane and borane-N,N-diethylaniline in THF, acetic acid and sulfuric acid, tetrafluoroboric acid copper (II) and sodium borofluoride. |
