GNR (3) is a ribbon-shaped graphene film, wherein five or more (for instance, five, seven or nine) six-membered carbon rings are linked and aligned in the short direction, and the edge structure along the long direction is completely of the armchair type. Through this constitution, a highly reliable graphene film is achieved, having an armchair-type edge structure with an even width of a desired value and achieving an on/off current ratio of 105 or greater representing the anticipated band gap and sufficient in practice, without using a transfer method.
