PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery excellent in high-rate charging/discharging characteristics and good in cycle life, low-temperature discharging characteristics and high-temperature discharging characteristics.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte includes: (i) an inhibitor against a reaction between a negative electrode and a linear ester; (ii) a mixed organic solvent containing the linear ester and cyclic carbonate that comprises ethylene carbonate or a mixture of ethylene carbonate and propylene carbonate; and (iii) an electrolyte salt. The inhibitor is any one compound or a mixture of two or more compounds selected from the group consisting of cyclic carbonate with a vinyl group, fluorinated ethylene carbonate, vinylene carbonate, cyclic acid anhydride, a compound having a cyclic S-O group and an acrylate-based compound. |
