PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means for obtaining a required electrical conductivity and excellent corrosion resistance in a lubricant composition for a hybrid electric transmission containing a metal detergent.SOLUTION: A dispersant additive composition containing a reaction product of a hydrocarbyl substituted carboxylic acid or anhydride and an amine is used. The reaction product has a nitrogen content between about 2,400 and 10,000 ppm by weight, and a boron plus phosphorus to nitrogen ((B+P)/N) weight ratio between 0:1 and about 0.8:1. The dispersant additive composition in combination with a metal detergent is effective to provide a lubricant composition with an electrical conductivity approximately greater than 300 pS/m and less than 1700 pS/m. |
