PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for maintaining a reliable and reproducible state for panel inspection, i.e. pixel defect and line defect detection, and simultaneously preventing a panel from being largely damaged.SOLUTION: A device for recognizing a defect of an electronic circuit incorporates: a circuit drive module which is configured to apply an electric test signal to the electronic circuit; a defect detection module which is configured to identify a defect of the electronic circuit on the basis of at least the applied electric test signal; a signal monitoring module which is configured to measure the electric test signal in the electronic circuit; and a control module which coordinates with the signal monitoring module and the circuit drive module and which controls at least the circuit drive module on the basis of the electric test signal measured by the electronic circuit.
