PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel polyacetylene having improved solubility, processability, functionality and the like.SOLUTION: A disubstituted acetylene-based polymer having phenyl alkoxy groups is obtained by polymerizing a disubstituted acetylene having 2 phenyl alkoxy groups in the presence of a solvent by using a catalyst. Then a film is formed by using this polymerization solution. Subsequently, the film is subjected to doping treatment to prepare a conductive polymer in which polarons and solitons coexist. Various functionalized elements and sensing devices are obtained by preparing light-emitting thin films.
