Provided are: a display optical-diffusion film capable of efficiently diffusing and projecting, as image display light, emitted light emitted from a collimated backlight and having high directivity onto the front surface of a display device, without causing straight transmission, especially when applied to a display device using a collimated backlight as the backlight for the display panel; and a display device using the same. A single-layer optical-diffusion film or the like having a columnar structure obtained by standing, in the film-thickness direction, a plurality of columnar objects having a relatively high refraction index in a region having a relatively low refraction index, wherein the film thickness of the optical-diffusion film is within the range of 60-700μm, and the haze value is 80% or higher when light from the normal direction of the film surface is incident thereon. |
