The invention relates to a method for monitoring a wind turbine comprising a longitudinally extended component (10), wherein four sensors (1-4) are arranged around the circumference of the component in a sensor arrangement made of two sensor pairs, wherein two differential sensor signals (&Dgr;12, &Dgr;34) are formed from the sensor signals (S1, S2; S3, S4) of the two sensors of each sensor pair in order to determine bending strain of the component in various directions. The invention further relates to a corresponding system and to a wind turbine. For at least one respective sensor of at least one respective sensor pair, a substitute sensor signal (S V - S4') and/or a substitute differential sensor signal (&Dgr;'12, &Dgr;'34) is formed from the other three sensor signals, wherein, in order to calculate the substitute differential sensor signal, a differential between the remaining sensor signal of the respective sensor pair and an average value of the sensor signals of the other sensor pair, which average value is weighted for the location of the intersection point, is extrapolated onto the distance between the two sensors of the respective sensor pair and/or, in order to calculate the substitute sensor signal from the sensor signal of the other sensor of the respective sensor pair, an extrapolation is made as to the location of the respective sensor via the average value, which is weighted for the location of the intersection point, of the sensor signals of the other sensor pair. |
