The present invention relates to the technical field of plant cultivation, in particular to an irrigation-free cultivation system and an irrigation-free cultivation method. The irrigation-free cultivation system includes a planting tray, the tray containing planting soil, and a ceramsite layer being laid on the surface of the planting soil, wherein an isolating film is also laid between the planting soil and the ceramsite layer; the irrigation-free cultivation system further includes a water storage tray disposed under the bottom of the planting tray, and the planting tray has at least one through-hole at the bottom which is in communication with the water storage tray, wherein a pipe is inserted in the through-hole communicating the planting tray with the water storage tray, and the pipe wall is covered with small holes, a mixture of ceramsite and fibres being provided within the pipe, and the fibres extending through the small holes of the pipe into the planting soil in the planting tray; moreover, the isolating film also has a film hole which is in communication with the pipe. The cultivation system of the present invention can automatically store water, supply water, and can maintain the constant moisture of the planting soil to be favourable for plant growth. |
