<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure eliminating residual vibration of a pressure chamber.SOLUTION: A first pulse for expanding a volume of a pressure chamber in which ink is stored and then returning the volume is applied, as a drive pulse, to an actuator provided to correspond to the pressure chamber, and a second pulse for shrinking the volume of the pressure chamber and then returning the volume is then applied to the actuator, thereby applying pressure vibration to the pressure chamber corresponding to the actuator. The second pulse is turned on at a time that may generate timing at which a pressure of the pressure chamber after the second pulse is turned on is identical in amplitude to a pressure when the first pulse is turned on and at which a flow velocity of the ink near a nozzle in the pressure chamber is zero, and turned off at the time of the timing.</p> |
