PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for electrochemical device electrode binder by which the drop in capacity owing to rapid discharge can be made small, a secondary battery superior in cycle characteristics can be manufactured, and an electrode good in adhesion with a current collector can be formed.SOLUTION: A composition for electrochemical device electrode binder is used to form a positive electrode of a lithium ion battery arranged by use of lithium iron phosphate which is an electrode active material. The composition comprises: (A2) polymer including a constitutional unit originating from an aromatic vinyl monomer, a constitutional unit originating from a conjugated diene-based monomer and (a3) a constitutional unit originating from a (meth)acrylic acid ester compound; and (B) a dispersant. It is preferable that (A2) the polymer further includes (a4) an ethylenic unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer. |
