PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet improved in a square shape property while maintaining high magnetization and coercive force of an Sm-Co based magnet including Fe.SOLUTION: A permanent magnet of an embodiment of the present invention has a composition represented by a composition formula: R(FeMCuCo)(where, R represents a rare earth element, M represents at least one selected from among Ti, Zr and Hf, and 0.3<p≤0.45, 0.01≤q≤0.05, 0.01≤r≤0.1, and 5.6≤z≤9 are satisfied), comprises a metallographic structure including a ThZncrystal phase, a grain boundary and a platelet phase, and has a square shape property of 87% or more. |
