PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform arc welding to a base material while suppressing incomplete penetration and underfill height even when weld length is long or a shape is complicated.SOLUTION: An arc welding method includes: a first heating process S113 of generating a non-consumable electrode type arc 110 at a predetermined portion 101P on a weld part 101 to be welded to preheat a base material 100; a first welding process S116 of performing first consumable electrode type arc welding from the predetermined portion 101P toward one side in the extending direction of the weld part 101; a second heating process S163 of generating the non-consumable electrode type arc 110 at a predetermined portion 110P to reheat the base material 100; and a second welding process S166 of performing second consumable electrode type arc welding from the predetermined portion 110P toward the other side in the extending direction of the weld part 101.
