<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which: in order to improve durability of a photoreceptor, both improvement of wear resistance and mechanical characteristics such as adhesion to a substrate, and stability of electrical characteristics such as residual potential, sensitivity, and chargeability need to be achieved; when an undercoat layer is interposed between the photoreceptor and substrate, improvement of adhesiveness, surface potential, and residual potential particularly need to be achieved.SOLUTION: There is provided an electrophotographic photoreceptor including at least an undercoat layer and a photosensitive layer on a conductive support, where the undercoat layer contains a polyvalent metal complex or a polyvalent metal salt of specific aromatic carboxylic acid so as to reduce the surface potential and residual potential of an electrophotographic photoreceptor. Also provided are an image forming apparatus using the electrophotographic photoreceptor, and an electrophotographic photoreceptor cartridge.</p> |
