<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To configure an apparatus, when recording material capable of decoloring in a short time is available, to combine an image forming apparatus and an image decoloring device to reduce installation costs and include an image forming function and an image decoloring function in the single apparatus.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: an operation setting unit that sets, upon indication of decoloring operation, the operation of units so that the image forming apparatus operates in a decoloring mode; a supplying unit that supplies media having images formed thereon with recording material capable of heat-decoloring set in at least one specified storage unit; a fixing unit that heats, in a decoloring mode, the media to a predetermined temperature or higher to decolor the images formed on the media; and a control unit that, when a job in a mode other than the decoloring mode is requested during the decoloring mode, holds the execution of the job in a standby state, and executes the job in a standby state after the job in the decoloring mode is completed.</p> |
