<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide coated paper excellent in terms not only of printed surface strength but also of operability.SOLUTION: In coated paper possessing a coating layer including a pigment and an adhesive, a starch having an absolute weight-average molecular weight as stipulated by the following formula 1 of 1×10to 3.4×10g/mol, preferably roasted dextrin, is included within the adhesive: Kc/R(θ)=1/MwP(θ)+2Ac (formula 1) (in the formula, R(θ) is the Rayleigh ratio of excessive scatter; K=4πn(dn/dc)λNholds, where nis the refractive index of a solvent, whereas Nis the Avogadro number, whereas dn/dc is the specific refractive index gain, whereasλis the wavelength of an incident beam in a vacuum; c is the polymer concentration (g/mL) within a solution; Ais the second virial coefficient; Mw is the weight-average molecular weight (g/mol); P(θ) is a particle scatter factor satisfying P(θ)=R/R, whereas Ris the scatter intensity of a case where an interference exists, whereas Ris the scatter intensity of a case where no interference exists).</p> |
